Sortin the Nowt in the Byre
This sixteen-minute Scottish heritage download captures a time before intensive farming animal husbandry took place in Aberdeenshire. From October to May cattle were tied up in the byre two to a stall. They were fed twice per day morning and night. This clip highlights the process called sortin the nowt which involved the following.
